The Crenshaw Subway Coalition is kicking off our Summer of Resistance Series with a meeting that focuses on the changes taking place and proposed for Leimert Park Village. We will discuss and help advance community demands on the following topics:

• TEAR DOWN THAT FENCE around Leimert Park (not now, but RRRIIIGGGHHTT NOW!)
• Developers and outsiders want to take away the public parking lots in Leimert Park Village to build luxury housing. We say NO to that, and say YES to a Black Community Cultural & Conference Center!
• Multiple housing developments (with no parking, and many with no ground floor retail) are proposed pushing out long-time Black small business owners and staples in our community for luxury housing.

Join us at our new headquarters THE UMOJA CENTER to discuss this community issue. We will briefly touch on the topics covered in our other Summer of Resistance town halls. Also this meeting will feature the ACCE tenant clinic. If you're having problems with your landlord come speak to a tenant rights attorney.
